Zona Comercial
Zona Comercial is La Paz's lively heart, where pedestrian-friendly streets lead to colorful treasures. Marina Cortez and the iconic Malecon Kiosk anchor this authentic Mexican marketplace. A rental car is essential for navigating the steep streets and reaching downtown restaurants and shopping. Accommodations feature high-end vacation rentals and condominiums with private pools and manicured grounds. History buffs can explore the Anthropology and History Museum, while shoppers dive into the chili-scented air of Mercado Madero. Pastel buildings with wrought-iron balconies line cobblestone streets, creating perfect photo opportunities. Traditional cantinas and seafood restaurants serve up Baja specialties at prices that won't break the bank. Stay in boutique hotels housed in colonial buildings for a true local experience. The neighborhood's compact layout makes it perfect for walking, with the stunning Malecón boardwalk and Sea of Cortez just steps away.

The bustling Malecón promenade comes alive at sunset as families stroll past bronze sculptures and seafood vendors. Visit the Whale Museum before booking a boat to swim with gentle whale sharks (seasonal). "Other than the staff in the office being rude & condescending the rest of the staff was great."
Hotel HBlue Centro
"The pool was very small and filthy. There were algae floating around. When we inquired, we were told it would be three days before it would be clean. The cleaning, maintenance and restaurant staff were all very attentive, friendly and helpful. The room was clean; my only complaint is the space. It had a lot of furniture for a small room. The breakfast was good. They had a daily specialty item, and they cook your eggs to your liking. If not, there is a selection of items to choose from, even for those picky eaters."
Hotel Indigo La Paz Puerta Cortes by IHG
"Staff was super attentive. Spa was amazing! Messages were very good! We had breakfast included, well worth it. Food was great at each spot here. Clean rooms and property. It’s is off from the main area in city but close enough so it quiet area and upscale area. They have a gate to get into property area(which is big). Coming back next year and staying here again. Worth the money"
