Inner Harbor

Baltimore's Inner Harbor buzzes with maritime charm and family-friendly attractions right along the water's edge. The National Aquarium's glass pyramid rises above historic tall ships like the USS Constellation, creating a perfect blend of entertainment and history. Baltimore and related destinations

Brick and barnacles define this harbor city where the National Aquarium's sharks glide past glass walls just steps from tall ships bobbing in the Inner Harbor. Catch an Orioles game at Camden Yards, where baseball feels properly nostalgic amid warehouse architecture. The quirky American Visionary Art Museum celebrates untrained artists with installations that defy categorization. Fort McHenry inspired 'The Star-Spangled Banner' during a battle you can relive through daily flag ceremonies. Little Italy's restaurants serve cannoli worth the inevitable wait. For the full harbor experience, water taxis connect attractions while providing skyline views that explain why locals call this 'Charm City' with zero irony.

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Baltimore

  1. Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to visit Baltimore is during January, February, and December, when hotel prices are typically lower. For those on a budget, a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is recommended to fully appreciate the city's significant landmarks and cultural offerings. Visitors can explore the vibrant port, delve into the rich history at various museums, enjoy the thrill of baseball, and appreciate local art and live music performances. This makes for a great value-for-money experience in a city brimming with urban charm and entertainment.
  2. Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute deals to Baltimore, begin by exploring the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may find reduced rates as your travel date approaches. Consider enabling email alerts or push notifications to keep updated on flash sales and special promotions, ensuring you stay informed about potential savings. Additionally, the Smart Shopping feature within the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, making it easier to choose the best option. By using these tools, you could be among the first to know about available rooms or price drops for a spontaneous getaway.
  3. Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate based on various factors, including the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, being flexible with your travel dates may help you find a better deal for your stay in a hotel in Baltimore. For those in search of a distinctive experience, boutique hotels can provide a more personalised touch and occasionally better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher side, we may suggest alternative dates that could offer a more economical option.
  4. Consider your location: Hotels near the city centre generally tend to be more expensive, but thanks to Baltimore's excellent public transport connections, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel located further out that is still well linked. For those keen to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often great value for money to be found. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
