This hotel is very nice inside and out. I think the staff is extremely accommodating and are very pleasant. The rooms are large and the beds are comfortable. Plus, you cannot beat the view.

Beds and carpet in the room felt very damp. There was a big brown stain on the comforter that housekeeping had to have seen. The bath towels also had stains. There were hairs in the shower. The room had a strong smell of fish. We ate at the hotel restaurant. We ordered our food around 7:45 and didnt get it until almost 9pm. We only ordered two salads and chicken fingers. Would not recommend staying here. We left a day early and booked a different hotel.

My husband and I chose to stay at the Wave to celebrate our 25th Anniversary. It is a beautifully renovated hotel in a perfect location and a wonderful staff. With that being said, there were a few details I wish I'd noticed before we booked. First, the restaurant and bar are not open on Monday and Tuesday. It was an extremely hot couple day stay, so we would have liked to order refreshments, especially as we sat around the pool, taking advantageof the extra "$50 resort fee". The manager stated that the restaurant will be open more days in July as the lake season picks up. Also, there isn't a coffee maker in the room. Since the hotel doesn't have continental breakfast, I wished I had this staple convenience. Also, it seemed like the hotel staff struggled to keep up with a busy weekend turnover. The manager apologized and accommodated us with eagerness and grace when our room was not ready at check-in time.

Very new property with a lively restaurant / bar with a great view of Lake Erie. Our dinner & breakfast were great. In room safe and electronic door locks are pluses. The only downside is no in room coffee machine. There is a machine in the lobby but it costs $4 to get coffee that tastes like instant.

Amazing open floorplan and atmosphere for lobby bar/restaurant area right when you walk in. Greeted by warm friendly, welcoming, and smiling staff, creating an amicable vibe. This is like a hidden treasure in the middle of a small country town. A welcoming haven of warmth and cheer in the midst of chilling winter. You’ve got to check The Wave out and see for yourself! Other highlights include gorgeous view of lake and sun rise from several rooms as well as the restaurant; peaceful and romantic; warm and cozy. Rooms are fresh, crisp, clean. Wineries nearby and within walking distance of the lake, a park, historic lighthouse, and quaint little town of shops and cafes. Food is original, tasteful, scrumptious, and eye appealing. Overall, bugie, bohemian, modern vibes! Very welcoming, calming, good feeling, and fresh atmosphere! Really good music playing in the background.

The room that I stayed in did not have a microwave or a coffee pot in my room or in the common area. The parking was limited. The locals come to eat at the restaurant while the individuals staying at the hotel had difficulty finding a place to park. Would have been nice to have the local park in the back lot. You had to walk outside in the cold to get to the fitness center. The two dogs next door barked most of the night. The restroom could have used a place to put makeup supplies limited room on the sink. The towels need a better place to be other than on the side of the tub...what do you do with them while you are taking a shower? The local restaurants in the area were not operating because of it being off season.
