Well worth it. My wife and I stopped here on the way to Bar Harbor, ME to break up our trip and I was very pleased. We arrived around 12pm and the staff was able to accommodate early check-in which was awesome. The hotel is beautiful and very clean, I would highly recommend to anyone planning on visiting Portsmouth or just passing through.

Loved our stay. The staff was excellent and the amenities left nothing to be desired. Food was very good. We had dinner at Latitude and enjoyed the cocktails. Beautiful view. Avoid the lobster however, tasteless and not edible. Beds were very comfortable and good streaming service. We would go back.

It’s a beautiful property. Not as clean as I would’ve expected and our order for room service at 7am never showed up and the front desk had no idea how to handle the situation. Otherwise, it’s a nice hotel with beautiful grounds and views.

It was great…just too short! We hope to return another time! But we managed to drive 7 hours to stay and celebrate a “monthly (14th)” anniversary prior to attending an unexpected funeral of a friend!

The staff were wonderful, all of them. Our room was so small with only a queen bed and we paid for a king. We had to have the fridge replaced. The only open restaurant, Salt, has a really weird menu. We did not like the food. They had great drinks though. Overall, the place is lovely.

The staff, all, were fabulous. The property esdpecially at night with all the holiday lights was absolutely beautiful. However, the HVAC system was extremely loud when turning on and off. We asked for a quieter room which they did without question (great staff). However, when we returned in the evening after a long day of experiencing Portsmouth's shops we came back to a room that the beds were not made and the bathroom still with wet towels on the floor. Staff appologized howeverI would not choose to return.

My room was on the bottom floor across from two ballrooms and directly next to another ballroom. The room next door had an event in Monday morning. Strange setup. Room service was also an hour wait in the morning on 2/20. Bed was moderately comfortable, overall the look and amenities of the hotel do not justify the price tag.

Not happy with Salt Restaurant

everything was very good, except for the Salt Restaurant. To start with, the table was not set right, no napkins and the utensils were scattered. The menu selections for dinner were few and not very appealing. I had Pork Shank only because nothing else appealed and I only ate maybe 1/10 of the bowl. There was way to much pasta and the sauce was not to taste. I would go back, because it is nice, but I would not eat at the Salt Restaurant for anything but breakfast, it was OK.
