This property is very clean but much of the furnishing is very old and our bed was very small. The breakfast was good with fresh bread and croissants.

Charming French provincial stone house with big garden - only problem was that check-in normally starts at 4.30pm but the owner very kindly opened up the premises for us at 3.00pm and so we had time to walk to the nearby town of Touros - a mediaeval gem in the heart of Burgundy. Although the churches and a remarkable hospital museum are worth seeing, we were most impressed by the two Michelin-starred restaurants and we ate at Les Terrasses which was absolutely superb. Even better, the chef drove us home because we couldn’t get a taxi!
