Unhelpful staff . Note that the “annex” is far from the hotel, has no lift looks to a service alley full of trash and the staff would not let us change rooms to the other building to have the family together . Had to make a new reservation . Terrible

Awesome customer service
We had an awesome stay in this hotel. Thanks to Reha in the front desk who went above and beyond in customer service in our 3 night stay. On our last day, he helped me and my wife dragged our luggage to the end of the street because the taxi cannot enter the street at that time. Breakfast is delicious and the view from the restaurant at the 5th floor is beautiful.

Hello, I like this property because was close to Galatta Tower, my favorite place in Istambul. I like the shopping and dinning. It is wonderful. The hotel inside is quiet and safe. Breakfast very good. Staff at the reception was the best, they do the best to make you comfortable. Maintenance staff was very nice and same staff at breakfast time. I will reserve this place again if I travel. I did not like outside because street was not clean. Thank you so much Meroddi La Portal. Maria Egoavil

Excellent stay at Meroddi La Porta
Superb stay at Meroddi La Porta. It is a great value given the wonderful service from the staff, who really looked after us (thank you Umil and Cagatay!), the incredible proximity to Galata Tower (literally around the corner), and the comfortable (small) rooms and wonderful and scenic breakfast. We wanted to stay very close to the tower and not spend too much and are very happy to had found this hotel and would recommend it highly. This neighborhood has a lot of cobblestones and hills and requires normal walking ability. The street itself is small and a bit alley-like, but the location around the corner from Galata square makes it a superb value.

Resepsiyonda 'Murat Bey' karşıladı. Güler yüzlü ve sıcak bir karşılama yaptı. Murat Bey'e hangi sıkıntı ile gitsek bize yardımcı oldu. Öncelikle Murat Bey'e teşekkür ederim. Odamızın, günlük temizliği yapıldı. Genel itibari ile temizdi. Tek sıkıntı klima motor sesi biraz yüksekti. Kahvaltı konusunda açık büfe kahvaltı seçenekleri iyiydi. Otelin konumu Galata Kulesi'ne mesefasi çok yakın, Eminönü ve İstiklal Caddesine yakındı. Meroddi bünyesinde olan diğer otelde 'Barnathan Otel' akşam yemeği yiyebilirsiniz. Manzarası şahane. La Porta otelden gittiğiniz zaman ilk alkolsüz içecekler ücretsiz ve yemekte %10 indirimden faydalanabilirsiniz. Burada tek bir sıkıntı yaşadık. İlk gün otel müşterisi olduğumuzu söylemeyi unuttuk. Yemek ücretlerimizi ödedik. İkinci gün tekrardan gittiğimizde otel müşterisi dediğimizde bizdeb ayrıca servis ücreti alındı. Bu duruma şaşırdık. Ve Ön Büro Müdürü 'Şenol Bey' ilettik. Durumla ilgilendi. Kendisine de teşekkür ederiz.

Otelin çatı katındaki odada kaldık.oda biraz küçük ama balkonu olması çok güzeldi. Bizim kaldığımız odanın balkonundan galata kulesi kısmen gözüküyordu.yan odanin balkonu baya net görüyor. Kahvaltı çok güzeldi kapalı balkonlu muhtesem deniz manzarası bizi cok memnun etti. Bu arada otelin konumu çok iyi. Galata kulesinin arka sokağında kaldık resmen. 허니문으로 방문한다고 했더니 침대 위에 풍선이랑 꽃잎으로 장식도 해주시고 와인과 간식선물도 주셨어요😍 근데 와인오프너가 없어서 요청드렸는데 오신다해놓고 한참 안 오시길래 내려갔더니 다 쓰고 갖다 달라고😅 그래도 조식도 꽤나 푸짐하고 맛있게 매일 잘 먹었고 멀리 구시가지까지 보이는 뷰를 갖고 있어요! 뒷골목에 있어서 조용한데 무서운...? 여자들끼리가면 좀 무서울지도!! 캐리어를 함께 들어주시는 직원분도 있고 모르쇠하는 분도 있어요. 약간 호텔보단 약간 쾌적한 게스트하우스같은 느낌이었습니다. 그래도 전반적으로 만족했어요!

Ideal location for young people/couples to stay. The city was busy, the views around were good plus good restaurant options - walkable distance from tram to get to anywhere you’d want to go in Istanbul. The staff was super friendly, especially Sevgi from guest relations was super helpful and catering. Greeted me and my partner with amazing decor and postcards with complimentary refreshments.
