4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Cape May

  1. Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to visit Cape May is between January and March, when hotel prices are lower. During your budget-friendly getaway, you can engage in activities such as birdwatching, exploring the beach, taking in stunning sunsets, and enjoying wildlife tours. This timeframe could provide great value for money while allowing you to experience the rich history and natural wonders of Cape May, including opportunities for dolphin and whale watching.
  2. Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To uncover great deals on hotels in Cape May, visit the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may discover discounted rates as your travel date approaches. Consider enabling email alerts or push notifications from Hotels.com to stay informed about flash sales and exclusive last-minute promotions, ensuring you don't miss opportunities for significant savings. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool available via the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, helping you make informed decisions. With these resources, you're more likely to be among the first to know if rooms become available or prices drop, facilitating a spontaneous getaway.
  3. Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and time of year, so being flexible with your dates may help you find a better deal on your stay in a Cape May hotel. For those in search of distinctive experiences, boutique hotels can provide a more personalised touch and occasionally more appealing value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we may suggest alternative dates that could be more budget-friendly.
  4. Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive, but with Cape May's excellent public transport connections, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel further out that remains well connected. For those keen to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money to be found.
