The not so positives about the stay are: The room could use renovation and updating. The carpet was very nasty and there was a big whole in it. You will want to wear socks or house shoes at all times. The furnishings and light fixtures were dusty bring your own Lysol and cleaning wipes. In the room I was in the window curtain was unable to be pulled closed. There was also a moldy smell. The positives regarding my stay was that the staff was courteous and the location was great.

We were traveling for business and loved the Columbia area so we stayed to check out the Lake Murray area. Every member of the staff was so kind and helpful and went overboard to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. Shout out to Shirlina (not sure of spelling) and Amy (NOT Mildred). These ladies are excellent ambassadors of the Marriott brand and deserve all the praise and recognition for their efforts and dedication in serving your customers. Thank you for making us feel at home away from home. We will be back!!
