Ferienwohnung Misita
"The property was conveniently located for a visit to Europa Park as it’s only a 15-minute leisurely walk so we did not have to drive there and we saved on parking fees. The unit we stayed was in the top floor so the spiral staircase was quite tricky to go up to bring our large luggage. So this will not be suitable for disabled guests."
Hotel Arndt
"Small family friendly small hotel in the beautiful village of Rust. Breakfast starts at 8am and finishes at 9.30am with plenty to choose from. The rooms are cleaned daily and towels replaced. Restaurants within walking distance, a bank, pharmacy and Lidl a short drive away. Great for walkers and perfect for visitors to Europa Park(walking distance) and Rutlantica. The hotel has parking permits to park your vehicle on the road outside and parking permits for Europa Park or Rutlantica. Really helpful and friendly, would definitely come back."
Hayat Sky Hotel
"There was no safe in the rooms. There was also very minimal storage space in the room for clothes, and in the bathroom for toiletries"
Europa-Park Erlebnis-Resort, Hotel Krønasår
"Very unique reception area, our boys loved the dinosaur skeleton. Room was well equipped, and the window into the bathroom was an interesting touch. The pool wasn't the biggest, but we only used it on the day of our arrival as we were at Rulantica for a couple of days. The waterpark was literally just across the balcony from us which was super convenient. It was really annoying being charged for the baby cot and that wasn't made clear to us ahead of arrival and we have cancelled other hotel bookings purely for adding this charge as we consider it to be unreasonable. We ate at the main restaurants, breakfast was great as was Tre Kronen and Bubba Svens. We would return to the hotel."
Hampton by Hilton Freiburg
"This was a fantastic hotel in a wonderful city. Rooms were excellent, the hotel lobby area was very spacious and comfortable with lots of seating, and staff were very helpful. Breakfast was lovely with a good choice of foods. The location is very close to a #2 tram stop, which takes about 10 mins to get to the station. Across from this stop is a huge supermarket, Kaufland, and stops for the more direct #3 tram are about 5 mins walk away. Brilliant place to stay."
MOXY Rust
"Great hotel, very clean and modern. Large underground car parking for $10 a night. Great for Europa Park and Rulantica (you can also get free parking at a park for one day only), the staff explained that there are also shuttle buses available for both parks. Located right next to 2 supermarkets which is great. The only thing that we didn't like was that there was no fridge in the room, but it wasn't that big an issue. Would definitely stay again."
VOYA Hotel
"Fantastic property and easy access to Europa-park, Lovely AC and very well maintained rooms"
Courtyard by Marriott Freiburg
"Hotel was very clean. What stood out the most was the friendly staff and how ready they were to help us in any way we needed - navigating the area, looking into transportation options, restaurants etc. The food at their restaurant was also spot on. I would highly recommend this hotel."
Hotel Casa Rustica
"The room was excellent, it was great to have two bedrooms separate from the living area. Breakfast was lovely. The attached restaurant does good Italian food but does get booked up. There are plenty of other restaurants nearby. It's only 8 minutes walk to Europa Park and an easy & free bus ride to Rulantica. It's a shame there's nothing much else to do in the area. We caught the bus to and from the station which worked well even with three big cases. If you're planning a trip to Europa park, I'd highly recommend."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Rust
- Book for the cheapest times: The most budget-friendly time to visit Rust is between January and March when hotel prices tend to be lower. For a fulfilling experience exploring the town’s historical landmarks and cultural attractions, a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is recommended. During this time, visitors can enjoy the rich history of the area, including charming castles and engaging theatre performances, all while taking advantage of great value for money. Additionally, the prices for various attractions might drop during these months, making it an even more affordable trip for those on a budget.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: Rust travellers may discover discounted hotel prices by visiting the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals section on Hotels.com. By enabling email alerts or push notifications, you’re more likely to see flash sales and special promotions that could allow a spontaneous getaway. The Smart Shopping tool in the app helps you compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring that if rooms become available or prices drop, you will be promptly informed. This approach may assist you in finding a suitable hotel deal close to your travel date.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate depending on various factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, being flexible with your travel dates may help you find a better deal for your stay at a hotel in Rust. For those seeking something distinctive, boutique hotels can provide a more personalised experience and, at times, greater value. When you make a reservation through Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we could suggest alternative dates that may offer a more affordable option.
- Consider your location: Hotels located near the city centre generally tend to be more expensive; however, with Rust's excellent public transport connections, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel located further out that remains well connected. For those seeking to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often fantastic value for money to be found. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
