"La Quinta in Poza Rica was a very good stay overall. The room was comfortable, and the entire property was extremely clean and well maintained, including the building, grounds, and pool area. The staff was very friendly, and I especially enjoyed the bar staff. Breakfast was solid, parking was easy and convenient, and the location right on the main road makes it easy to get around Poza Rica. The pool is a definite highlight, and the hotel was very quiet during this stay. I would note that the atmosphere can be different when the hotel has an event booked, but otherwise the rooms are peaceful. My only real disappointment was the room type. I paid extra for a suite and expected it to include a kitchenette because a suite I stayed in previously at this hotel had one. This room did not. Expedia does not clearly differentiate between the different suite types, so it was difficult to know exactly what I was booking. I also could not get the Wi-Fi to work, although I did not spend much time trying to troubleshoot it. Overall, this is a clean, comfortable, well-run hotel with friendly staff, good amenities, convenient parking, and a great pool. I would stay here again, but I would confirm the exact suite type before booking."

Told it was a 2 block walk, across the main through fair."
