Residence Inn by Marriott Ghent

Residence Inn by Marriott Ghent

8/10 Good
"The manager at this property is above 5 stars! He goes above and beyond to ensure guests are comfortable and happy. I did experience a few hiccups during my two month long stay, but he was always quick to try to rectify the issues. I would love to give it 5 stars but I’m one of those people that relies heavily on honest reviews so I have to give an honest one. My grade: manager 5/5, front desk staff 4.5/5, cleaners 3/5, dining 4/5 (2 months of same food got old so we would skip most days). Amenities 4/5. Wish CNN was fixed but after 2 months no fix. From what I was made to understand, the service provider took it off the bundle. The channels were all scrambled and labeled wrong so basically used my dongle the entire time. The manager tried his best to get this fixed but sadly it wasn’t. The charge stations were also an issue as they would work sometimes and not work for long periods of time however, the underground stations within the parking structure worked sometimes that was great. All in all, it wasn’t a good peaceful stay. Thanks to all the helpful staff, Ama, Vivian, Georgia, Elia and of course the manager, you made our stay comfortable and went above and beyond many times,"

Campanile NATURE - Lille Est Villeneuve-d'Ascq

Campanile NATURE - Lille Est Villeneuve-d'Ascq

10/10 Excellent
"Best described as a motel, in appearance and proximity to the motorway, this was a very economical option for my work trip. Good, polite and efficient service on reception, and they had quickly reassured me in advance that my potential late arrival would not be a problem (despite a warning from Hotels.com that check-in closed at 10pm). I should say, I was communicating in French, so did not test their English skills. Though there was great potential for noise, I did not hear a thing from outside, or from being close to neighbours (they may have had only a few guests, but at least it seemed they hadn't put me in a room adjacent to anyone else). An important element for me was the parking, of which there was certainly enough and - crucially - it was free. Unusually in my experience for a three-star place there were coffee and tea making facilities, though I just had one tea bag! Great shower with one of those overhead attachments. Room interior all looked recently refreshed, with only minor bits of wear and tear visible. Excellent internet speeds (I got 78mbps up and down). Only two issues - it took me a while to work out the quirky blind system on the windows, though I can largely put that down to my poor mechanical intellect, and with no lift (it's a motel), rooms on the 'upper level' become more challenging with heavy bags. With the location ideal for me, I think I got a bargain and would happily stay again if needs be."

"Stayed here with my Husband and 2 teenage children as a 1 night stop over to break up our holiday journey. We booked a multi bed room which was very big. We had plenty of room for all of us with options as to were the children slept. The room was clean and tidy. A choice of tea and coffee in the room. The bathroom was clean and the shower had good water pressure and was easy to use. There was also air-conditioning in the room which helped a lot. We are looking at holidaying in France again next year and will definitely consider using this hotel to break up the journey in both directions as we were so impressed with it."

"Very convenient road trip breaker, which backs onto an airfield, with sky diving and gliding actively entertaining us whilst enjoying our beer on the terrace. Our room was so quiet and dark due to efficient drapes, that we slept in and nearly missed breakfast, which would have been a shame as it was good. A couple of restaurants and KFC within a few yards, we chose the excellent Au Bureau…. good quality and value, having eaten there elsewhere in France. Would certainly stay again!"

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Vichte

During this period, prices may drop even further, making it a great value for money option for travellers.
  2. Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute deals to Vichte on Hotels.com, begin by exploring the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals sections, where you may find discounted hotel rates as your travel date approaches. Furthermore, the Smart Shopping tool available via the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, so if rooms become available or prices drop, you could be among the first to know and secure a spontaneous getaway.
  3. Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate due to factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates could enable you to save on your stay at a hotel in Vichte. For those seeking distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised experience and may offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. Should the price be on the higher end, we will recommend more economical dates, which could help you secure a more favourable deal.
  4. Consider your location: Opting for accommodation near key attractions or city centres may provide convenience, but it often comes with higher expenses. For more budget-friendly options, you might want to consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between cost and accessibility to the sites you intend to visit. Independent hotels situated a bit further out can often offer a more authentic and usually more affordable experience.
