The location was great. Walking distance to the center of town with shops, food and entertainment.
Our room was not so great. I thought I booked the room with air conditioning (as indicated on my reservation) because we toured Germany in July during a heatwave. However, I did not get this type of room. I complained on my check-in review of the hotel. For those that don't know this, while staying in the hotel, hotels.com will send an email asking you to review your check-in experince. I mentioned that there was no air conditioning in the room. Apparently, the hotel management saw my review and phoned me immediately. With a stern voice, they said, "I saw your review. Why didn't you ask for the room with A/C?" I told them that I didn't know I had to ask when I booked this type of room. Neverthess, it was our last night here and we opted not to change rooms. With regret, we should have. The cleaning lady left the windows open in the room (to naturally cool it off)and when we returned that night, our room was filled with bugs! We spent a good 30 minutes killing or removing the flying insects. But, this did not take care of our next problem. Myself and my daughters had several bug bites by the next morning.
Overall, great location, good food, but just know that not every room has air conditioning. Hotels.com needs to indicate this on their site or update the information about the rooms in this hotel.
