The hotel is situated in a quiet area only minutes away from the main bus stops, and also a short distance from the centre of the old town and the harbour. The building is effectively on stilts, with generous parking below. Reception, dining room, bar etc are on the first floor with bedrooms above. There is no lift - which probably accounts for its' measly two star rating -so it may be less suitable for anyone with walking difficulties. T in and double rooms are available. The bedrooms and shower/loo rooms are compact, but wardrobe/drawer space is generous, and lighting is good enough to read in bed. Thestandard of cleaniness is excellent throughout but particularly in the dining room. The buffet brekfasts provided plenty of choice. All of the staff were welcoming, helpful and efficient. The guests seemed to be mainly from Germany. We arrived on my wif'e's birthday, andnext day we were astonished to find a bottle of wine on our table with a Happy Birthday card from the owners Giovanni and Privitera - acharming couple. We have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.
