Having not stepped foot into Peterborough City Centre for 30 years I was pleasantly surprised how nice it looked in Cowgate, Bridge Street and the town square. Good early evening vibe, but when walking back at 11:30 pm on a Friday night it was dead?

Fabulous cathedral, great history, architecture and very welcoming volunteers. Great walk to the Boat House, which needs better signalling around the station. However the city centre and Saturday night atmosphere were a little shabby

Lovely parks local for families and a short 15 minute walk to the town centre (give or take 10 minutes with little legs) shopping centre is starting to look a bit barren but still plenty of choice of shops to look in.

The area around the hotel is a little run down but shouldn't put you off. The people are great and the town centre is still good even though the mall is loosing some shops.

Plenty of shops in Town centre. We know Peterborough already as we don't live far.
"Thoroughly impressive hotel & in a simply stunning area, warm friendly welcome at reception checking in, upon entry into my room, a DAB radio was softly playing Classic FM in the background, even as a tattooed shaven headed man, I love Classic FM & really appreciated the touch, especially after a stressful end to my day prior to check in, I led on the bed & chilled, listening to it for an hour before dining in the restaurant, thank you ! The meal was gorgeous, superbly presented but the desert…OMG ! The Blueberry sponge with lemon sauce & sorbet !!! I could have eaten more of that, left the tastebuds tingling ! It was worth every penny & more (hence the overpayment 😉) the waiting staff were exceptional too, everything in this stop just worked superbly & was a credit to the management in providing such excellence, but, please, get some Drambuie in, I just love a Drambuie Coffee after dining ! I will certainly return ! "
"Overall, nice clean, large room in a pleasant hotel. Good bathroom. A few more milks would have been good as each drink needed two milks. Good value for money."
"Parking at the park and ride was only a short walk. Nice modern hotel. Reception, bar and restaurant staff friendly and chatty. Room cleanliness a small opportunity but not to the point that it impacted are stay."

"This is our second stay here and once again we've had a lovely time, so much so ive booked anothe stay for December. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. The hotel is very clean and our room was perfect for us. The hotel is in the city centre and is a short walk from the cinema, many pubs, restaurants and shops. "
"We loved this two level room with 2 bedrooms each with a double bed and access to a bathroom.
Upstairs room was hot and no window access so access to fan would be good.
Able to cook with all we needed except a pizza slicer.
Ferry meadows 20 minute walk and able to leave car whilst running event.
