The hotel is located right next to the Zocalo, where most of the traditional activities happen. Everything is within walking distance. Hotel was clean and the staff were courteous and helped when requested.
On the flip side, the rooms on the front of the hotel, with the balconies, have very poor sound proofing, which made it impossible to sleep at night without the use of earplugs, due to all the music being played til the wee hours of the morning. I went there to experience the music so I didn't mind as much, however, if you want to sleep, rent a room in the back of the hotel.
This is my second time in this hotel, having stayed there about 15 years ago, and I would go there again for a similar experience. Enjoy!
