Firstly, I would like to say that the staff that we interacted with daily were excellent. They were attentive and friendly. The breakfast was good, and the hotel and area are lovely. But hope that you don’t have a problem like we did. In the afternoon we noticed an issue with the toilet, we notified the front desk and they came to take a look and said it was fine. We went out for the evening and returned at 11pm. Our room had flooded. At that time, there is only a guard on the property and he said he would call the owners to see what he could do. There were no other rooms at the time and that was not an option. The guard came back and told us that the owners did not authorize him to provide any help, not even extra towels. We used the three towels that we are provided to mop up the room. We essentially were the cleanup crew. We mopped up as best as we could but the carpet was soaked and we couldn’t stay in the room. At 1am, we booked another hotel and we were lucky enough to find an Uber and we left. I called back to see if there would be any compensation, all that was offered was not charging us around $20 of food that we consumed. The situation is very frustrating, our stay up to that point had been excellent, but at a critical point the owners of the hotel washed their hands of us. I won’t be returning our recommending the hotel to anyone else.
