We loved the cool records and record players in each room. We loved our balcony overlooking the pool areas and water.
To wake up and see the sunrise over all the sail boats was perfection!
The fire pit was nice to sit around to on our fist night!
And the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed!

A must-stay in Edgartown!
The Faraway is absolutely delightful. The rooms are beautifully decorated and from the second you walk in, the signature scent is relaxing and comforting. The pool and fire pit are beautiful and the perfect place to spend a few hours. We loved the location—just a few steps from shopping, dining, and the water. A must-stay in Edgartown!

We had an excellent stay. We had 3 rooms. Our 5 year old nephew was thrilled that the pool was open and part of it heated and he was swimming in the middle of October.

Modern and nice. BUT they blow a very heavy scent throughout hotel and grounds that is over powering. Had to use towel at room for jam to keep smell out. Over powering. Throat and sinuses were bothered. If you have asthma or scent bother your throat don’t stay here. You may need your inhaler. It’s too bad but just could not sit around lobby.

Amazing vibe, beautiful property, super comfortable rooms/bed and always got excellent recommendations from the staff. Amazingly refurbished property - we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Our only caveat is that the rooms are not well soundproofed - conversations are easily heard in conjunctive rooms, outside, etc.

This hotel is in the most convenient location to everything Edgartown. Everyone we met on the staff were kind and helpful. The Provided bathrobes were lovely
We were a bit disappointed In the lack of dresser space. Only one small drawer in the night table. We were also a bit disappointed that there was no heat in the hotel. It was not turned on. On our last day, when we returned from being out all day, our room keys did not work. The staff was Incredibly helpful trying to get this fixed. After changing the battery failed, we were given a master key, which worked. However because of the key issue, we did not receive any housekeeping services that day.
Although The hotel does provide coffee in the morning, we would have appreciated it being offered later in the afternoon when we returned after being out all day.

Great property, however, no elevators so if you have trouble with stairs, ask for the first floor. Also, the doors on the main building do not have locks on them. After I complained about the security of guests with open doors, the front desk girl acted indifferent and told me other guests have complained too. When I said why don’t you tell the manager, she shrugged. A real dummy. I told her I was going to put something on social media and it didn’t seem to faze her. I hope the Faraway management is reading this and will take action. It’s not that hard guys to put locks on doors.
