I enjoy staying at unique properties, and this one is in a class of its own! It is a beautiful home, located away from the fray, on a secluded property, surrounded by nature, about forty minutes outside of Jim Thorpe, and a twenty-five minute drive to Stroudsberg. Arriving at the location, I was awed by the beautiful surroundings! When I walked into the bedroom and saw the stunning autumn views, I was in love! Mary is a welcoming host who made us feel right at home. An added special bonus was an included visit to her adjacent alpaca farm, where we got to visit with the animals, feed them carrots, and then peruse all of the beautiful alpaca fiber products available, which helped me to do some of my Christmas shopping early! My only regret is that we stayed just one night. I would definitely return, and would even think of staying there alone for some time away! There are wonderful restaurants and lots of things to do in the area, if you are someone who appreciates country living and family-owned businesses. The room and the home felt very comfortable, like a home away from home!
