"My son and I stayed overnight ahead of an early morning duck hunt at Fish Point Wildlife Refuge in Unionville—just a quick 25-minute drive from the hotel. Our room featured two queen beds that were exceptionally comfortable, and everything was spotless. We especially appreciated being able to open the window and enjoy some fresh air.
The staff were genuinely friendly and accommodating. Although we had to leave before breakfast was served, they thoughtfully offered us a couple of granola bars for the road, which was a nice touch. The price was very reasonable for what we needed, and the overall experience was quiet and restful.
If we’d had more time, I would’ve loved to take advantage of the outdoor amenities like the grill and firepit. I’d definitely consider staying here again, especially for future trips to Fish Point."
"Very cute and updated. Clean. Microwave, coffee and fridge cute and helpful. Pool was clean and nice. Lots of furniture around it. Volleyball. Campfire pit. Only negatives were parking was a bit tight confusing. Also, check out was 10:00 A.M. which is a a bit early. Usually 11:00 most other hotels."
"Bad Axe Motel may not be a new modern establishment, but it's updated, very clean, comfortable beds, equipped kitchenette, in the country on a main road, & convenient location. With parking right in front of room door. I would absolutely stay again, and recommend it."
