Where to stay near Downtown Toronto

Exploring Toronto CBD

Toronto's Downtown is the cosmopolitan hub of this city's famed creativity, with its exciting new art galleries, relentlessly energetic financial district, and thriving entertainment complex. It's also where Ontario's capital lives up to its nickname of “the city of high-rises.” Downtown's sky-scraping towers of commerce are only put in their place by the awe-inspiring height of the CN Tower. But it's not just about the big and the new here—historic areas like Cabbagetown or the Distillery District also have their own intriguing tales to tell.

There is a range of options for all travelers. The hotels in this neighborhood are almost as numerous as its high-rise towers, and cover most accommodation needs. As well as high-end luxury hotels and large business hotels, there are boutique hotels in Downtown and stylish historic establishments. The most popular hotel in Toronto is the Couples Retreat @downtown With Lakeshore View, which has been booked 5 times from our Hotels.com verified guests. Our guests also highly recommended QuickStay - Chic in Yorkville (Yonge & Bloor) in Toronto as it has been reserved 5 times.

There's one attraction in Downtown Toronto you literally can't miss—the CN Tower. This needle-like 1,800-foot tower is visible across the district. The views it affords are spectacular, both from its 1,100-foot-high revolving restaurant and from the “Skypod” nestled near its tip.

- Monterey Museum of Art

Another unmissable sight is the Art Gallery of Ontario, one of the largest galleries on the continent. It houses some 80,000 works of art from around the globe and across recorded art history.
