    Another relaxing visit!

We travel often and have stayed in many rental homes - this is our favorite of all. We have stayed here several times, and each time is just as wonderful as the last. The location on the cove - the views from almost every window are incredible - you can observe beautiful sea ducks, guillemots, bald eagles, and more. The maritime forest is calming, and breathtaking in the snow. The house is well stocked with everything you need. Beautifully furnished, and the antique Bluthner piano in perfect condition in a room with excellent acoustics is a treat to play (and one of the reasons we love this place!). Great location close to Damariscotta, Boothbay, and Rockland with several great day trips within an hour drive. We had a minor issue with an appliance, and Vered responded immediately. We look forward to returning again!

Second Annual Family Vacation in Friendship

Had a blast at this property for the second year in a row with our entire family! Beautiful setting and great home to enjoy the Maine coast. We'd be signing up for another year if the week we could come wasn't already booked! Thanks to our hosts for making this vacation so memorable.

    Another wonderful stay!

My husband and I stayed earlier this winter and enjoyed it so much we rebooked. The location is great- very private with beautiful views, yet close enough to populated towns where you can obtain anything you need. Winter in Maine is highly underrated...there is a great diversity of wintering seabirds in the cove; and if you have the proper clothing for the weather, coastal scenery and wildlife is exceptional without the summer crowds. Close to Marshall Point and Pemaquid Point Lighthouses. A large granite bolder provides a wonderful vantage point to take in the beauty of the cove - walk out to the rock at low tide for spectacular viewing. The house has terrific living space with comfortable furniture and a nice entertainment center, although we never turned on the tv while we were there-no need! Great kitchen and dining area, kitchen has everything you need, top notch oven and cooktop. We hope to visit again next winter. It was a great getaway.

    Peaceful Getaway!

This short, 3-night getaway was the perfect break from the stress and monotony of teaching online. The photos do NOT do this lovely home justice, the home is GORGEOUS inside and out. While more living space than needed for the two of us, we appreciated the generous area of the rooms and overall comfort of the home. The detailed custom woodworking did not go unappreciated, the kitchen was well stocked and easy to navigate. The view from the living room window was stellar, bedrooms are thoughtfully furnished and the bed in the room where we slept was comfortable with wonderful linens. We had some nasty weather but this did not hinder us at all - the covered patio allowed us to view wildlife while shielded from the weather, and we also watched from the panoramic living room window. Then there's the exquisite antique Bluthner piano! I spent several hours playing this beautifully maintained instrument, what a joy for this former performing musician! Needless to say, we never touched the television while we were here. The property is lined with spruce and other trees creating a feeling of privacy, and situated right at the edge of the water. Boulders are easily accessed allowing for exploration of the tidepools and offer AMAZING views of the shoreline and lobster/fishing boats and wildlife. Birds are abundant - the eagle perched on the boulder early in the morning as in the listing photos. (Binoculars are provided although we used our own optics). We observed a great diversity of the sea ducks and waterfowl in the bay. I could go on, we loved our time at this property. I hope we can return again, next time for a longer stay. Communication with Vered and Don was straightforward - Vered took care of all my questions and booking, and Don communicated throughout our stay. I appreciated him reaching out during the storm with concern the power might go out (and it did for a few minutes). Just what we needed during this stressful time. Do not hesitate to book this property.

    Serenity

Immediate neighborhood seemed a bit sketchy at first as you’re in the best house in a rather depressed immediate area. Fairly remote but charming once you adjust.

    Gorgeous spot

The property is fantastic. It is fairly remote, but that was perfect for us. The views of Muscongus Bay are spectacular & the shoreline literally transforms with the changing tides, rock formations appearing anew with each low tide. The house is cozy, with a very unique layout of rooms. The owners are very good communicators, answering any questions promptly and offering useful advice on the area. The lawn that looks out upon the sea is a truly beautiful spot.
