Room was lovely and bed was clean, furniture needed updating or deep cleaning, stains on it and dust build up. Didn't eat there, so cant comment on the food. The hotel does need an imput of cash spending on it, it is looking very tired.

Hotel has lovely old fashioned charm. Our room on the second floor was massive and had 6 large windows with lovely views over the gardens. Short stroll into the town or down to the seafront. We were led to believe that our breakfast was included when booking with Hotels.com but were informed this was not the case and had to pay again £50 for two for 2 days. It was worth it though as you could have whatever you wanted and it was freshly cooked and very tasty. I am a coeliac and they catered for Gluten Free without a problem. Staff were very helpful and friendly, couldnt fault them

Room was excellent and very comfortable it's a pity that following the refurbishments the edges of the carpets near the skirting were dirty and despite only being open a couple of weeks I dropped a set of keys and going down to floor level found a discarded plastic toothpick. Service was minimum, obviously running on a shoe string post lockdown. Breakfast was good but no dinner service available. Public areas need brightening up. Signing my paid for bill I noticed it was £29 less than I actually paid you which was dissapointing.

We booked a deluxe double room thinking that paying extra for a better room would be beneficial, unfortunately although the room was nice and spacious there was a door for when they used it as a connecting room and you could hear absolutely everything from next door, not good when the people are up very late and noisy - didnt get much sleep! A couple of the windows wouldn't close therefore you got all the noise from the street outside too. The breakfast was ok but not brilliant. Overall the hotel is nice but things need sorting to make it more comfortable for guests

First time at the Central, and will not be the last. The room was recently decorated. Breakfast was good both the cold buffet and the cooked choices, also there is an on site car park, and failing that you can buy a day parking pass for on road parking at a reasonable charge. There did seem to be issues with the plumbing, the hot tap omitting a high pitched noise, and on a cold September night, no one around to ask about extra blankets and no heating (it wasn't freezing cold but was slightly chilly). I hope you continue to develop the hotel and on my next visit I can give you an excellent rating.

A lovely couple of nights spent with my son in room 215. Large room, a huge bed (shared with my 10 year old) sea view, overlooking the crescent park. The only thing that could improve the stay would have been a mini fridge to keep our drinks/snacks cold in a warm room. Staff were lovely. Breakfast was good. I pre-booked parking in NCP Balmoral (£12.60 for 48 hours) as hotel parking not enough for all guests - 27 rooms and 8 parking spaces! Renovation ongoing but didn't spoil our stay. There is a front desk for checking in.
