We arrived to the unit 2 hours after check in time. You would think that the few hours in between check out and our arrival would give the staff plenty of time to clean and have the room ready. Wrong! When we opened the front door, we noticed a particular smell that overtook our noses. It was like the unit needed ventilating or a deep cleaning; not sure but it was horrible. Then, we saw it—the excessive dog hair, candy/food wrappers, crumbled crackers, popcorn, tiny dead roaches, Whataburger bag clearly visible under the bed (with food residual inside), dust and dirt—everywhere. And when I say everywhere, I mean EVERYWHERE. I wanted to clean it up myself but the unit had no dust pan so, go figure. I called management and they told me that they would send someone to clean for us—the next day! Do you think I will have my kids walking over dirt and sleeping on dog hair? I cleaned as I could and moved on. At this point, I’m not sure if they even changed the linens and washed the towels. Honestly, I’m surprised we didn’t run away. Oh yeah, we didn’t because we have already paid $365 (plus $20 for parking) to stay in this place to celebrate our son’s birthday. Way to ruin it, Vacasa Management.
Other notes: Heated pool was extremely dirty, with birds even taking a bath in it. Unit balcony was secured due to safety concerns (thing they don’t tell you when you book, of course). Amenities inside the unit like comforters and various kitchen items are dated. Especially the c
