Wonderful Except Under the Bed...
We loved mostly everything about our stay. However, shortly after getting to our room, my curious kids saw something sticking out from under the bed, turned out to be a stack of flash cards... along with food, wrappers, plastic bottles under both queen beds.

Hotel was nice, but front desk staff wasn't honest
We wanted 2 things - a hot breakfast and an open pool. Because of COVID, I called the front desk ahead of time to check, and they said that a hot breakfast would be provided and the pool was open. When we arrived, the pool was closed. I was told it was because a group had been in the pool and were not observing social distancing. OK, I get that. But if that's why the pool was closed, why was is ok for a group of 20 people to hold a party in the hotel lobby without masks on? The next night I asked about the pool again - this time I was told it had been closed because the chemical were unbalanced. Really? If you're going to close the pool, I get it. But can you at least have the decency to be honest with me about it instead of giving me 3 different stories? As for our second item - the hot breakfast - it was supposed to be open from 7-9, but when we got down there at 8 it still wasn't ready.

Last minute booking, definitely not my last visit
This was the second Home2 at which i have stayed (Ann Arbor, MI area was the first). It was fantastic. Room was very spacious, nicely appointed and clean. Was traveling on business and there was lots of room to set up a virtual office. Staff was very friendly and location had anything you could want in near proximity. Breakfast was ok, but this is 2020 and COVID prevented the normal setup. They made the best of it and i had sausage, eggs and a really good biscuit. Highly recommend and know that my next trip to see this client i will plan to stay here again!

THEY HAVE ANTS EVERYWHERE
Pick literally any hotel other than this one. My room was infested with ants and no one at the front desk even cared. I requested a refund because the ants caused me to have an allergic reaction. When I spoke with the manager she told me there would be no refund and if I ate food in the room then that’s probably why I seen ants. She told me she would no longer speak with me and if I wanted a refund I needed to speak with hotels.com and she told them not to refund me before I even called. I asked her name and she gave me a false name, which she later revealed is not actually her name and she gave me the wrong number as the Hilton corporate number. I normally do not stay at Home2 and decided to give it a try. But because of their lack of concern I will never stay at another one again. Spend your money somewhere that cares about the quality of your stay.
