Leonardo Royal Hotel Amsterdam, Amsterdam, Netherlands

Its right next to the Metro station which we could here from our 9th floor room. The room was not as clean when we checked in we could see dust and crumbs on the carpet floor. The pillow was too soft that doesn’t give any support. The coffee machine also was dirty, everytime we put want to make hot water, the water is not clear filled with old coffee paritcles. We also complain to the front desk that one of bathroom drawer was detached and they seems not interested to help.

Great location, right next to the metro which is only a short trip to Centraal. Modern hotel, nice staff. Restaurant overpriced, particularly for lunch. Not much food in the area so would recommend going elsewhere to eat. Only other niggle was that the hairdryer was attached to the drawer unit which meant I had to bend over to dry my hair, or sit on the toilet!!

Great break with friends

Stayed here as part of a group of 8, we all felt the hotel was great. The rooms were spacious, beds extremely comfortable and hotel very clean. The hotel is opposite overamstel station, with regular trains in to centraal station. They allowed us to store our bags as we arrived before check in time, so we could go explore. We didnt eat at the hotel, but bar prices were in line with what you would pay in central. Overall very happy with our stay.

Only downside was the surprise of the City Tax. Super hotel.
