Imagine traveling on 3 different buses over 6 1/2 hours to arrive at Johan's to find that they have never heard of Orbitz, have no record of your reservation and are fully booked even though your credit card has already charged. The manager was quick to find alternative accommodations at another facility, but the other place had no working wifi, broken tv, totally umcomfotable bed & pillows and would not provide a room rate sheet. Felt totally ripped off and disappointed.

I don't like to complain about the staff. Normally they leave me alone. Management here said my room was not ready and had me stay in a different bldg. down the road. In this different bldg. they wanted me to pay for the room again. I told them I paid already in advance on cheaptickets.com. The head manager had not communicated this to them. They made me feel like I was just some problem they had to deal with. They get in a huff when I ask a question. Where bossy when giving instructions. The head manager offered inflated prices for another room. They came to move me again. When I checked out early the lady was still asking me to pay. I told them the day before it was prepaid but instead of confirming with the head manager they acted as if I was the problem again. I left 5 prepaid nights there unused as a holiday present. Thank GOD I found another place to go.

they transferred us to another place - Dakudos beach resort near theirs. They used to own it or was their previous hotel. At Dakudos, the bathroom spewed out water that had rust in it the whole time. So bathed in rust water. lol! Another problem was, for the two days we stayed at Dakudos, there was on going construction that started very early in the morning. I had to tell them for both days to stop it coz we and alot more people were sleeping. Staff was very nice to us though. Wish I met the owner of Dakudos so I can talk to him directly about improvements. Their beach front was clean. No trash. Food and drinks: Crispy pata was awesome! Beer is very very affordable at 50 pesos per bottle. If not for the bathroom and construction problem, everything would be perfect.

Where do I start? First we were told that our booking with Wotif didn't exist (we don't even deal with Wotif). Then the room we booked was unavailable because it was under construction so we got stuck in a lesser room, right next to the building site. Noisy and dirty. No discount or freebie offered for the inconvenience. The staff at the dive shop was pleasant enough but we got grossly overcharged for our open water ticket (21,000 pesos whilst Padi dive shops in Cebu only charge 14,000 pesos). The diving in Subic is average at best, mainly in green soup with terrible viz and a lot of pollution. The beach frontage is filthy with rubbish and their answer to that problem is to light a fire and burn, some of it, with an onshore wind! Yes, burning plastic smoke in our rooms and in the dive shop. My dive gear still reeks. We finally got moved to a new location but that one also was under construction. Still no discount. We had to make multiple trips to an ATM to provide payment in cash because their internet wasn't connected. And you guessed it: still no discount!

Had to pay 50 pesos exstra to get tv, then when they came to install they dont have cable. So we did’t got TV for our two nights. And two towels only for six person.
