Beautiful view and very frendly staff.. .........

Free breakfast was really good. Harder to get here if you miss the funicular time at 9:45. You'll end up taking Ubers so factor that into the cost but you do get free funicular rides. The front desk people were really nice. Hard to find the property at first. You have to go down stairs and then walk through this bazaar. Basically walk towards the funicular and you'll find the hotel. The city view room we got had a super tiny window so wasn't really worth it but being close to the view was nice. Bathroom door was a sliding glass so less privacy than would have been nice.

Getting to the hotel was not the easiest. I took an Uber and I copied the address on this website and it took me to a complete different area. I would suggest you tell the Uber to take you to El pipila it’s literally right next door. The hotel has an awesome view and the staff is really friendly. Especially the young lady that is there in the afternoon. I would defiantly stay here again

Without a doubt, Balcon del Cielo is a great option if you decide to visit Guanajuato. The views are breathtaking, the staff is very friendly, and the beds are comfortable. With your stay you get unlimited acccess to the furnicular (which also comes with priority boarding if there's a line). I'd suggest choosing the breakfast option if you're able to. Breakfast at Valadez was incredible! If you're traveling with a group, be mindful that the bathroom is not completely separate from the bedroom. There is a glass door that separates them both. It wasn't a deal breaker as we were just two guests but it would have been an interesting situation if there three or more in the room. Overall, the perks, staff, and view make Balcon del Cielo a great choice if you find yourself in beautiful Guanajuato.

We LOVED Balcon del Cielo. There were many things that made our stay unique and the hotel far exceeded our expectations. The hotel is, as described, situated above the town with an incredible view of the city. You do have to ride the funicular to get to/from town but this is easy-peasy as the hotel provides a card for you to use to ride for free, there are rarely lines, the funicular is a very short trip, and it deposits you directly into the center of town and also right in front of the hotel. Cabs can also easily get you to/from the hotel and you just take a few steps down to get to the hotel. The free breakfast is served at a restaurant near the base of the funicular and it is essentially a 3-course meal in a really nice restaurant-- we were blown away! Every day we were stuffed after eating there. Coffee, juice, an assortment of breads and salsas, as well as a large choice of main dishes. It was fantastic and we weren't expecting anything so nice. The staff are incredibly friendly and our hotel was cleaned each day with far more care than I've experienced elsewhere. One thing that took us a while to figure out was the hot water in the shower, but that's because the two knobs are situated vertical and the bottom knob is for hot water. It can get VERY hot, so no worries, you will have plenty! I highly, HIGHLY recommend this hotel!

First off I want to say I will definitely stay here again. The staff was super friendly and helpful with tour suggestions, we were also able to purchase tours with them. The room we got had a terrace, located on the first floor, literally behind reception, it’s a small hotel but very clean and mostly quiet. You can hear people walking around and talking here and there but compared to how loud the city itself is at night, it didn’t bother me at all. I read other reviews that said the funicular was very loud, but honestly I didn’t hear it at all, and I was able to sleep all night very comfortably. Im glad I chose staying up on that hill rather than down below, I could hear the hustle and bustle from my terrace, so I can’t imagine how loud it must of been for people staying at the bottom of the hill. Speaking of the funicular, we were given passes of unlimited use for the funicular, which was very convenient, plus if there’s a long line you get priority, which came in handy on our last day, there was a long line to get back up the hill, but we were able to walk right up to the front. If you miss the last ride going up, don’t worry, there’s stairs, and they’re not bad. Included was daily breakfast discount at the restaurant Casa Valadez, and let me tell you, I was blown away by how good the food was and how big the portions were, it’s located just at the bottom of the funicular, in front of the Teatro Juarez. I will visit again, and this hotel will be my first choice.

Amazing view. You can see the whole Guanajuato city and thanks to the funicular, easy access from the centro. However, we were very upset with the poor service. First, we wanted to ask the easiest way to the hotel from the autobus terminal but they didn’t answer the phone. And when we arrived, there was no elevator so if you’re traveling with heavy luggage, I strongly discourage you staying here. Also, we reserved a double room with balcony view (the main reason for staying at this hotel) but they gave us a double room with no terrace. When we said there must’ve been a mistake, they said only single rooms have balconies. So we showed our reservation, then they suddenly said it’s possible from our second night without any apologies. We were very frustrated and after few minutes they eventually showed us a double room with balcony. Apparently they lied to us several times which is unacceptable. Also, we told the front desk ‘do not disturb’ but they kept coming into our room to clean the bathroom. Lastly, room number 1 is right next to the funicular, so it’s very noisy. 호텔이라기보단 모텔 수준입니다. 호텔에 있을 거라고 기대하시는 거 거의 없다고 보시면 돼요. 뷰가 좋다고 그래서 일부러 조금 더 비싼 발코니 방으로 예약했는데 체크인시 직원이 발코니 있는 방은 싱글룸밖에 없다고 거짓말을 하더라구요. 호텔스닷컴 예약 찾아서 보여주니까 마지못해 발코니 있는 더블룸으로 바꿔주면서 아무런 해명도 사과도 없어 직원들의 태도가 너무 불쾌했습니다. 특히 남자 직원이 인상은 좋으나 눈치도 없고 엄청 비매너였습니다. 뭐라고 하면 못 알아듣는 척하고 서비스가 굉장히 별로였습니다. 그리고 저희가 제공받은 더블룸은 로비와 푸니쿨라 바로 옆방인데 방음이 안 돼서 너무 시끄웠고 샤워기 물도 너무 퍼져서 사용하기 불편했습니다. 경치는 삐삘라 언덕에서 보는 거랑 비슷하니 센트로에 숙소 잡으시는 걸 추천합니다.

ベランダからの景色が最大の利点。とにかくここからの眺めにお金を払っているような感じ。グアナファトの景色をホテルから堪能できるのは本当に素晴らしい経験です。
