Great stay!
Had a great stay here! Quiet area, cute room. I would advise staying on the top floor as the people walking around above kept us up/woke us up several times. The people working here were really friendly and helpful. The restaurant was good, steak was well cooked and the salads were fresh and tasty, don't miss it!

Would stay and dine again at Porterhouse ...
Super friendly, lovely staff members, all around. Amenities: milk, water (still or sparkling), tea or coffee, toiletries - all great and convenient. Room well-appointed with Oxford Blue colors. Street is quiet and bldg a block from the main road, so relatively quiet without being isolated. Restaurant excellent - breakfast variety and quality excellent, dinner - amazing (for steak-lovers/carnivores, mind you)! Had dinner there the 2 nights I stayed, as I didn't find other Oxford restos anymore intriguing or priced differently. Yes, it's a 10 min walk to city center, but only 5 min to train station, and nice to be away from the frazzle, noise of the city center.

Great hotel
We loved this hotel! The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the accommodations were clean, modern and pleasant. The downstairs bar/restaurant is great and it's a short walk from anything you'd like to see in Oxford (and right by the train station!). Highly recommend it.

Comfy bolt-hole close to Oxford town centre
Lovely gastro-pub hotel very conveniently situated for Oxford station. the room was tastefully decorated, very comfortable, with a lovely modern shower. The staff were very friendly and helpful, taking time to explain how the heating worked, where the hair dryer was and so on.

Highly recommended :-)
Stayed here for 3 nights to celebrate husband's 60th birthday. Would highly recommend! Staff so friendly and knowledgeable re local area with recommendations of places to visit. Within walking distance of train station and all Oxford places of interest. En-suite room fantastic with T.V. and tea/coffee making machine (bed SO comfortable and lovely fluffy towels) Complimentary water and fruit available. Breakfast choice - absolutely delicious! (Served til 11am in case those comfortable beds makes one sleep late!) Really set us up for the day's exploring. And the steaks! Wow! Spoilt for choice! Best steak we have eaten. Superbly cooked. Oh, and did I mention the cocktails?! Seriously, just go. You won't be disappointed!

Porterhouse stay Oxford
The Hotel was very close to Oxford City centre and a five minute walk from the train station. The rooms are clean, modern and spacious and the steaks served for evening meal are great but a little expensive. The manager was very helpful and friendly throughout my stay. TVs in rooms are small and suggest a larger one either 36 or 40 inch

Great time!
This place is amazing! I highly recommend it. The service is excellent, the managers are kind and considerate. A block away from the train station and about a 5-10 minute walk from the bus station. I am definitely coming back here if I come to Oxford again.
