8/10 Very Good

Solid all-inclusive in Cabo San Lucas
The Riu Palace is a great choice if you're looking for an all-inclusive resort near Cabo San Lucas. I would rate the resort a 4 out of 5.
I thought the Riu did a lot of things really well, but there were a few misses keeping it from getting a perfect score. Let's start with the good things: check in/out was smooth, a large majority of the staff spoke English, facilities and the room were clean, staff was always visibly cleaning the resort throughout the day, there are two large pools and 2-3 smaller pools (2 of which has a swim up bar), food is plentiful (24 hour lounge with a few drinks/snacks, pepe's which serves snacks during lunch time near the pools, 4 restaurants servicing different types of food for dinner, 1 breakfast/lunch/dinner buffet, a coffee bar, and 2 alcohol bars), access to the beach, views of the ocean and marina, close proximity to the marina (10 min cab ride), access to Riu Santa Fe resort next door if you want to use the water park or party/dance (the Santa Fe resort has an open air night club with themed parties on M/W/F/Sa), evening entertainment at the onsite theater, and clean fitness center.
The things we didn't like about the resort were: we booked a King bedroom, but they didn't have any so we slept in a 2 double bedroom for the first 2 nights. Food is plentiful, but everything was just okay. Customer service was hit or miss. Some staff were extremely friendly and some were just neutral.
Riu Palace is worth your consideration.
