    Nice House and Location

We enjoyed staying in this house over the weekend. The only suggestion would be is to improve the cleanliness of the house.

    Winter getaway in snow

We had a lovely time at this sweet house in the high Sierras. Everything went smoothly and we enjoyed the home. Only mild issue was the ants in the kitchen and living room areas.

Lovely property! Also, you're on your own.

The house itself is lovely; comfortable and well-equipped. The one TV gets excellent reception and has a Roku. Everything was in good working order. Challenges: access is pretty hairy during snow; it's a one-lane drive lined with 6' high snowbanks right now. Since there was nowhere to turn around we pulled over to ask a neighbor if we were on the right track before proceeding. With a winter storm coming in we left before our last night since I didn't know what snow would do to the little access we had. The reason for the non-awesome rating was the management company. They did not put access instructions in the app; just a note that said "call owner." They did send one e-mail about access that went to my spam filter (which is odd, since they sent about four e-mails about payment). When we were departing Sacramento for the house at 5:30pm on Friday I called the "after hours emergency" line to see how to get in, and I didn't hear back until 8:30am on Saturday. (Fortunately my son found the e-mail and we got in. It said "Please confirm you received this," which obviously I hadn't. I don't know why they put that phrase in there if they weren't going to follow up.) At any rate, it made me uncomfortable to think about the potential of being snowed in somewhere with that kind of response time. The house WAS lovely, though.
