In the area there are many nice hiking areas, such as the Ormhilleren outdoor area. Here you can find trails that goes all the way to the west side to the rocky mountains. There are good conditions in the area for swimming and fishing. It is a short way to Hellesøy, which is the outermost point in Øygarden. Just one hour's drive away you will find Bergen. Bergen, a City of Culture offers a trip to the center of science, the museum of the bridge or what about visit to the fish market. Boatrental 6 km from the house.
