As a woman traveling alone I really appreciated this little hotel. The service is very specialized and accommodating. The upstairs Terrace is a wonderful place for breakfast. It’s located in the old town so if you wanna glass of wine in the evening you’ll need to bring your own. The breakfast service is wonderful and the people are happy to answer your questions and make recommendations for a nice local places to grab a bite. It’s very close to the ferry port as well. I will stay here again.

We had such a lovely stay at Dar Aldea. The hosts were so incredibly lovely and took such good care of us during our 2-day stay. I highly recommend Dar Aldea to anyone who wants to stay in the heart of Chefchaouen. Just be warned that because it is in the medina (city center) there are no cars in that area and it's up a steep hill/stairs, but definitely worth the hike up. The decor was super local and beautiful and the breakfast was delicious. Couldn't have asked for a better stay!

The manager and his wife were terrific, the Riad itself has a terrific location, and the meals were very good. Unfortunately, the riad had over-booked so we were sent to an apartment just outside the medina, about a 5 minute walk away. (First we were told a shower broke). The manager was very apologetic, but this has also happened to others. We pressed and were given a free dinner on the rooftop.

So happy we found Dar Aldea. Mme Amina keeps a beautiful place, with amazing tiled bathrooms, carved ceilings, and tasteful local decor and colours. The are two outdoor areas to have Mme Amina's excellent breakfast or relax, taking in the view high above the narrow blue streets. Highly recommended.

Great location and very cute & cozy riad. The host and his wife were truly outstanding. They went above and beyond for us. The breakfast was also very good. I would highly recommend staying here.

This was such a charming Riad at one of the most picturesque staircases in the city. We had a room right off the terrace with amazing views. I had accidentally booked a room with a shared bathroom, and she was so nice to upgrade us! Thank you!

We very much enjoyed our stay at a the charming Dar Aldea. We felt very welcome throughout our stay. Dar Aldea is located on a beautiful side street that connects to a main street, so it was easy to find our way back. The room and bathroom were a bit small, but the decorations and details were so wonderful that we hardly noticed. The rooftop offers a beautiful view of the city that's not to be missed. If you plan to drive, we found parking about 15 minutes away. As with most places in Morocco, there is always someone willing to help (for a fee). We paid 120 dh for someone to direct us, carry bags, and purportedly cover the cost of parking--not too bad, especially because there are some steep stairs approaching the house.

We stayed two nights at Dar Aldea, the hosts were very welcoming and helpful. The guesthouse is positioned well within the medina which is quite easy to navigate. All in all a very pleasant stay and would highly recommend.
