The overall experience is what makes this hotel one of the best ones in NYC. The location is just a few blocks away from Pier 17 and so many great shops, the kind and caring staff, the cleanliness and the food from Bellini are just 3 of the many reasons Mr. C’s is a must.

I got there and the man working at the front desk told me my room was not ready yet so I sat outside for an hour and when I went back inside it was a lady at the desk and she told me that my room was not available and that I can either get a smaller room or a full refund. So I took the refund and I had to go find another hotel

The hotel staff did not mention to me upon arrival that my music can’t be loud or to many guest. The guy next door to me kept coming out his room recording my guest and banging on my door being disrespectful there was barking dogs and yet he was complaining about my guest. They said it was money thing he a BIG SPENDER no it’s a racist thing We are all black and he’s white. I can be a big spender but it’s because I booked 1 night my stay don’t matter. I will not be purchasing this again

It’s was under construction that we didn’t know and we couldn’t use the elevator(He keeps telling us it will fix very quick but didn’t happen). When we check out, she will charge only resort fee which is $49(around) bc they couldn’t fix the problem and my car unlocked for a few hours (noticed to my app) that I had to expl

Not what I was hoping for...
My first impression of the hotel was that the elevator buttons were pretty filthy looking considering there's a pandemic going on and most businesses are promoting their cleanliness. Unfortunately, my cleanliness concerns didn't end there. We had been in our room for just a couple of minutes when I noticed that the trash had not been emptied after the previous guest. We then found a used bar of soap on the bathroom sink. When we called the woman at the front desk apologized and brought up a key to another room a couple floors above. I definitely felt that they could have done more to make up for sending us into a dirty room and the fact that I was now aware of their questionable cleanliness made me notice that the room was generally tired and a little grungy. The furniture had pen and scuff marks and grime in the crevices, and the towels and bathrobes were threadbare. A few good things: the rainfall shower was nice and the location was pleasant. Overall, though, the hotel felt very much like the Best Western it once was and not at all the way it's website presented it.

This boutique hotel is a gem of seaport. First, Mr. C hotel is very clean and well maintained. Second, it is literally a block away from Brooklyn bridge, seaport and battery park. Third, it is surrounded by nice restaurants. Lastly, all staff are very attentive and courteous. Especially William who really treated us professionally.
