Hotel is in need of a make over, decor is old but still very pleasant. Staff were great made us very welcomed and food was very nice.
Good location near to town centre and restaurants, pubs etc. Clean room. Beds not very comfortable. Shower pressure very low so unable to use shower. Breakfast options limited. Unable to open windows so room too warm. Carpets in room - not ideal for dogs. Parking limited so had to double park on a couple of occasions.
I do not like to be negative but room very dated and bathroom in need of an urgent update as shower looked unusable and for the price of the room we have stayed in far better. As for breakfast it was chaotic and slow and confusing which could be down to covid. On the plus side the food was good and I had lovely fish and chips and the breakfast itself was ok. Also the staff were nice.
For some reason the bar continued to serve a load of drunks that were making a lot of unnecessary noise outside my room. The group were clearly intoxicated and should not have been served as long as they were. The fact I made a complaint about the noise to reception did not seem of concern to the staff, say the outside area would close at 2200. It reality there were still people out there making noise at 2300 and staff trying to get non residents to leave. It should never have got to that situation as they should have stopped serving. Other issue, thinnest toilet paper I've even seen, a shower that just dribbled, people smoking under the window, dodgy door lock, and a tiny room, breakfast seemed to use cheap ingredients - all for an over inflated price. COVID wise I was unimpressed with the lack of care and attention or enforcement of the current regulations. I travel a lot, as you can see from my profile, and I don't think I have ever had such a poor experience with some may aspects of an overnight stay.
Hotel was nice staff were very friendly and lovely cudnt be more helpful. However our toilet wudnt work so we had to sometimes use the main ones rather than room until fixed. It was very noisey of you had a room like us facing on the courtyard so we got very little sleep
Extremely noisy at night. No organisation at breakfast. Nobody knew what they had to do. Waited an hour for croissants.
Very nice hotel. Stayed there for new years eve night and breakfast next day. Checkout for 1200. Overall very good staff, service. My wife struggled with the stairs to the rooms. Staying longer would not suit her.For us it was ideal as it was for one night.
It was a terrible stay. There was a band playing late and so we couldn't sleep. There was no breakfast on apart from cereal. Absolutely terrible stay. I would like a refund. Thank you.
Second time staying here and another enjoyable visit. Only criticism would be that payment was demanded on arrival and not check out and I had to pay more than what was quoted by Hotels.com
our twin room was small bathroom barley large enough to swing a cat, had bar food for dinner was ok parking is quite tight not enough spaces when we came to breakfast was only average buffet, service slow
