Profile: Shinbashi

Profile: Shinbashi

Shinbashi, a railway station in central Tokyo, is what many call the real Tokyo. Here, you will discover bars and eateries that serve “shitimachi,” also known as "low town" cuisine. While you go local, you are still only two stops south of the city's epicenter, Tokyo Station.

If you have ever been curious about sake, the four-story Sake Plaza, a 10-minute walk from the station, features anything and everything—books, glasses, etc.—related to sake, including, of course, the drink.

We were happy staying at this hotel especially for its cleanliness and for the location as it's very convenient. The skybath and sauna added a little treat at the end of the day.

    Would stay again.

Good hotel in a good location, very easy to walk to everything including the rail and lots of restaurants within 100m. Nice to have access to the sky spa hot baths which we used every day. Breakfast was good too.

    Great First Tokyo visit

Wonderful new hotel. All of your staff went overboard in providing attentive service. Excellent breakfast buffet. Loved the rooftop bath and sauna. Great neighborhood for a first time visitor to Japan and close to major transportation area and the Ginza.

    Loved this hotel

I really loved our stay at this hotel. We stayed in the king bed room and although it's not the biggest room, we found it was perfect for our city stay, as we weren't spending too much time in the room other than sleeping anyway. They provided all the necessities including big bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body soap and razors! The bed was comfortable and overall I liked the room's set up. The breakfast was great, providing a range of Western and Japanese food. The staff were really friendly, polite and we found that they all spoke great English. I cannot comment on the sky spa as I have tattoos, so couldn't use the bath. However, the changing room area was nice, clean and again provided some essentials including hair ties. Overall I would recommend this hotel as I would happily go back when visiting Tokyo.
