Worn down, tired hotel in a great location
It is a very run down hotel in a great location. All appliances (ice machine and elevator) are so old that they are noisy and the elevator was broken for hours and did not run. The prices are outrageous for the state the hotel is in (old carpets; really worn down bathrooms) and the 'resort fee' for basically no amenities is crazy. Unfortunately during UN Week there were no other options but I would never stay there again.

Not best value for money
Loud Construction was happening on higher floor during my stay and it was noisy. Staff at the front desk were lovely, and helpful which was the highlight. The room (especially the walls and the air) was not great. The walls had paint that was bubbling and flaking. The room smelled wet moldy and the bathroom had red stains outside the bath tub that honestly looked like old blood stain. Bed and pillows were comfy and clean.

Dirty, smelly and unfair trip cancellation policy.
Fell and broke my arm 3 weeks before the trip. Was not able to go, and received no refund! So disappointed with this policy. Friends who made the trip checked into the Manhattan, and discovered the room and hotel were disgustingly filthy and smelly. They immediately moved to the Hilton. I feel I deserve at least a partial refund.
