Good hotel customer service needs improvement
Nice hotel looks of things to do and different restaurants which is nice we loved the lazy river and bar attached. However, the service isn’t very good everyone seems like they are more worried about chatting with their coworkers than working. I’ve been to DR 14 times and first time I haven’t been pleased with the service. Food was fine, like most of the other hotels in the area nothing to rave about. Overall fine hotel just need to improve the service aspect.

The property was beautiful. We had the BEST vacation and the kids (11 and 13yrs) loved it!!! The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The merchants on the beach were persistent! Be prepared to be pressured. Have lots of cash on you as all the staff is expecting a tip of some sort. It was a busy time of year and made getting into restaurants difficult but we figured out how to that navigate that unlike some others who were waiting a long time to get dinner. Overall, I would highly recommend going here.

A Trip to Remember
We had a lovely time at Royalton Bavaro. First and foremost, I have to commend the medical staff. Our daughter is a type 1 diabetic and we had a slight emergency during our stay and the doctor handled it beautifully IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. We felt reassured and she followed up the following day, too. Service was friendly and efficient. The buffets were amazing. If possible, I would highly recommend staying in a building with diamond club access - having the refreshments/coffee on hand was a huge convenience and our assigned butler, Michael, made our dinner reservations and arranged cabanas, etc. We loved him. Will definitely return.

Resort just missed on too many of the little things. Room was upgraded but yet dirty on arrival. Getting missing items for room took too long. Wear and tear throughout rooms and resort was evident. Service throughout property was hit or miss. Food was average at best. Resort could be great but needs a quick refresh, an overhaul on many of the training they have for the staff, better quality on the food, etc. And enough of the extra crap. Pay over 10k for family of 4, upgraded room, and still can’t a Red Bull at bar unless I pay an extra $5. Same for different average liquors. Ridiculous.
