"The Shining"
This hotel is definitely a seasonal hotel (summer). The property is an old hotel that has been upgraded however still not in the best condition, let’s start off with the good. The staff 3 staff members were exceptionally friendly. They did have shuttle service to Camp Humphreys walk-in gate which left the hotel at 0800 and pickup was at 1700. If you opt for a taxi it will cost 20 -25 US dollars for drop off at the walk-in gate. It takes 30 minutes to get to Camp Humphreys. The Bad, since it is winter time the hotel it was basically empty. It was not as advertised. The nightly rate was 80 US dollars which is outrageous for this establishment at this time of year. As you enter the lobby of the hotel there are space heaters which are on but not heating the area. All of the employees were wearing winter jackets behind the counter. You could see your breath. All of the restaurants and bar were closed because there isn’t any business. There was a free breakfast every morning that was good but extremely limited. There are a couple of restaurant’s that are walking distance if you like Korean food but they were empty.There are no convenience stores in the local area. As I walked to my room almost all of the door were open and you could just walk inside, the place reminded me of the Overlook Hotel in the movie “The Shining”. The rooms were clean but extremely dated. There was a small heater in the room which made it tolerable. This is a 2 ½ star hotel at bestat this time of year.

Well, free breakfast is a one good thing and late check out is another good. thing There is one person only at the reception and seems no customer. Do not expect too nice service Generally I like to stay there with my baby and hubby
