Conflicted stay home
My H stay was conflicted. The property itself is hip and chic but there were little moments that were terrible. The hotel uses industrial room refresher scents that permeate your soul. It’s disgusting and you can feel and taste the smell for several minutes once you break free of the lobby. The walls are thin. I woke up to a raucous party around midnight that I think was happening in the karaoke bar next door. The floors are not carpeted so you can hear the clip clop of people above. And the piano in the lobby can be heard easily on level 2 which would be fine if only people who could actually play were allowed to touch it but I heard people playing scales at 8 am. My deluxe room was not deluxe. It was top of the stairs outside the elevator and street side where you could hear drag racing up 8th Street in the middle of the night. The neighborhood is in transition so unless you are ready for urban living I would suggest you avoid it. There are unhoused living in tents a block over so be ready to walk around into the streets if you go for a stroll to the liquor store, panaderia or the bar. This is a decent adult party hotel (crash here after a party) but not a place to relax or linger. Interior is cute. That’s about it.

Never again!!
Room too small. Bathroom door didn’t close right, I didn’t like that bathroom had glass transparent door with no privacy. The smell of the hotel and room I didn’t like it either. It was first and last time staying at that hotel!!

Was much better experience last time .
There was a lady screaming and pounding all night yelling even through the walls and window closed can still hear her , smoking when it was non smoking I can smell it through the doors . Food in the am was overpriced and was very small portions.

The restaurant was closed at 6 pm, the rooms were tiny, small box size, thin walls you could hear everything through walls and people walking upstairs.. check in clerk was nice but hotel was old… LA just sucks anymore .. no customer service , had to go McDonald’s for dinner because restaurant and bar closed … non smoking room smelled like cigarettes, tv screen had damage , big black line going through the screen .. unsafe area … sign in Parking lot says “hotel not responsible for breakins into cars” Like I said LA sucks !!!
