Nice getaway away from the downtown area
Ecoverde Lodge is a great place to stay if you want a more remote Costa Rica experience. They have hiking trails and a small lake. The service and staff were exceptional! I would not recommend staying here if you aren't renting a car, as it's a 20 min taxi ride to town.

Great place to get away in Monteverde
The lodge is wonderful if you want to get up and away from Monteverde. You will need your own transportation, but you will find yourself in a quiet, forest covered part of the world where few people get to stay. The hosts are great, the food terrific, and the quiet a delight. Be ready, this is not a five star hotel, but it is a cabin near a pond across from where a farmer has his cattle and where you can see amazing sites. The price is low, so don't count on things like wi-fi in the room, but hey, you are coming here for an experience in the forest, not another high dollar hotel.

We wanted something cheaper because there were four of us. Weather was cool so if we were more prepared for the weather our stay would have been more pleasant.

Bij aankomst moesten we vaststellen dat dit hotel te koop staat en niet meer in gebruik is. Wij werden hierover niet op de hoogte gebracht door de eigenaar.

Vista increíble pero malas instalaciones
Llegar a este lugar es bastante complicado, imposible lograrlo sin camioneta, pues el camino es pura terracería y todo estaba lleno de lodo. Luego, la vista del lugar es espectacular, pero las instalaciones están muy descuidadas. No se puede llevar a cabo ninguna actividad en el lago y no hay wifi. La cama estaba dura y nunca hubo agua caliente. El servicio de atención del personal está muy limitado. Hay horarios de atención y luego nadie está presente fuera de estos horarios. La comida es relativamente buena, y Mauricio y Sergio fueron excelentes anfitriones. Sin embargo, no regresaría a este lugar.
