We had a long weekend to relax. The hotel is very nice, the rooms are clean and the staff helpful. My only complaint is that we had to call each day to get our room cleaned.

Staff members such as our concierge Javier and all other support staff such as Stiward at the breakfast facility were all excellent and wonderful people!!! Felt vert welcomed and very comfortable there. Only thing that would consider Their work out facility Was above average But they did not allow my 13 year old daughter use of the facilities. Also Its an all inclusive That includes all meals The Mexican themed restaurant Tamarindo Not really the best quality But otherwise Would return to this facility. Beautiful place And Very friendly staff!!!!

Dreams Onyx is an overall great all inclusive resort. Preferred level is NOT worth the money. I’m sure if you wanted to be demanding your butler would take good care of you. But any guest can go to Preffered pool and bar. We went to the Preffered restaurant for breakfast once and had very poor service and poor quality of food. Only two of us and didn’t get order right. Also table next to us didn’t get what they ordered. Buffet and specialty restaurants food was very good. One of the BEST main pools we have ever been to. Beach looked great, we did not hang out there. Drinks were good and they were very good at restocking your refrigerator every day. Cleaning staff and grounds keepers did an excellent job. Check in and checkout was very smooth. They do try and talk you into listening to presentation. Just say NO. Did not use spa.

We had a great time at Dreams Onyx. The food was very good and had great variety of both buffet and dinner options. View from the preferred rooms was breathtaking. Our own private room pool and jacuzzi and outdoor bed, all overlooking the preferred pool and the ocean. Didn’t even need to leave the porch off your room! Butler Rafael was awesome and helped orchestrate many activities for us. We eloped here and the whole weeding team was very easy to work with. All other staff at preferred bars and pool bars were very attentive to our needs and treated us like royalty. “Our pleasure” is what was said after every interaction. Transport to and from hotel using Expedias “Talixo” was easy and inexpensive. They text you when they’re coming and what your drivers name is and give you plenty of time to be ready / early.

We loved our trip. The beach and pools were great, the daily activities were fun and we loved the coffee shop and the ice cream parlor. Dinner was frustrating because if you didn’t get in line before 6 pm you had to wait a very long time to be seated and then even longer to get your meal. Some nights it made us miss the main show because it took so long. It was frustrating, but not really such a big deal when you’re in such a beautiful place! All in all it was a wonderful trip and we made some great memories. I would definitely recommend this resort.

We stayed at Dreams Onyx from Feb 3-8 2023. It was a fabulous girls vacation. We booked private transportation from the airport and upon arriving to the resort were offered cold towels that smelled amazing to cool off with. The check in process was smooth and simple. At check in we were informed of the VIP access we had (that I didn't even know we had booked!). From there, we were taken on the golf cart to our room and shown all the amenities in the room. Our room was HUGE, beautiful and clean. The VIP access meant we had a concierge (Javier!!) who texted me updates everyday on which restaurants were open and which activities were happening that day. Javier was wonderful! We were even able to book our massages through him while we were at the beach! We spent every day at the beach and it was clean and beautiful. The spa was amazing and our VIP access meant we had a discount using the services! We ate mostly at the adults only all inclusive next door as we thought the food was much better (our favorite was the steakhouse). Overall, I would (and have) recommended this place to everyone and hope to be back soon!
