This property was not at all what I expected - but in an amazing way. The hosts were incredibly friendly, and all of the guests and staff created a beautiful community together in the mornings for breakfast, and in the evenings for dinner and afterwards, in the cozy living room. We made some wonderful new friends, and the lodge itself - the views, the beauty of the architecture, the Northern Lights visible from the room - were absolutely incredible. I would make another trip to the Yukon just to stay at this unique and amazing property.
Dave and Roxanne - and their many dogs - are great hosts. The rooms exceed expectations (based on website photos) and they have a lovely space - with fire and good reading - to relax. Would stay here again ... without hesitation.
Location of property all was nice and would stay again.
Rooms should have blackout curtains - our room only had sheers on one window so there was a real lack of privacy especially as we were facing the road and parking area. Owners are friendly and relatively new to owning this property, and are planning many improvements to improve guest comfort, so things should be better by next summer. The breakfast (included in cost of room) was excellent.
Wonderful hosts. Both the breakfasts and the evening meals were excellent.
What a wonderful discovery at the gateway to beautiful Kluane wilderness. The setting, food, hospitality, and character all exceeded our expectations. Amazing hosts, and we loved the dogs!
Well run property with owners being very good and capable at running it. Everything was clean. It was raining when we arrived and we were on a motorcycle so we didn't get a good look at the rest of the property. We understood this was a bed and breakfast and we were booking a room with a shared bath. Should be in description the bathroom is on a different level of the house. The bathroom is only for the 2 rooms in the lower level with a sign posted on it as such. Unfortunately when I was using the bath and taking a shower after a long ride in the rain another guest kept knocking on the door, verbally wondering if there was a problem. I was taking a shower and had to raise my voice to shout that out kind of embrassing. The breakfast was so so super excellent. Possibly worth the other inconveniences of our short stay. Thank you Roxanne and Dave.
European style B&B. Owners are incredibly nice. Full breakfast was delicious. Property was well kept and clean. I will definitely stay here again when my travels require an overnight in Haines Junction. A pleasant surprise!
The food was absolutely outstanding; far exceeded our expectations. And the family table style of dining allowed us to meet some lovely people. Roxanne and David have created a wonderfully welcoming and enjoyable base from which to explore this amazing place.
Wonderful proprietors and friendly dogs 😃 . Beautiful setting just outside Haines Junction.
