4/10 Fair

Pros: great staff, good amenities, clean room Cons: terrible water pressure in shower with hot water on/off POOL CLOSED x 4 weeks, no mention on app when booking, if I knew this I wouldn’t have booked this hotel. Noisy jack hammer during the day so I was very disappointed. Management offered free entry to two nearby beach clubs, however both had small pools. I have stayed this hotel several times before and I loved the big pool right outside the room.

No beach view, no sauna no ice bath just a gym, missing ties in the pool, limited breakfast. Friendly staff. Okay for the price.

Great location just a street away from the beach. Pool was great, food was great. 7/11 around the corner with a bunch of shops, restaurants, massage and taxi places. Would stay again. Loved it.

Great little hotel hidden away just behind Bang Tao beach. 4-5 minutes to the beach and restaurants and small bars dotted around just outside the hotel. Rooms are a good standard, grounds and pool are very nice. Friendly staff. Breakfast just ok but all in all we had a great 7 days there.

4 night stay in Bang Tao Beach

This mid range hotel gives you all you need and was good value with a decent size room, balcony overlooking a lovely pool (with a pool bar!) Amd close to the beach, just a few minutes away. Brekky was ok with lots to choose from and the evening food was delicious. The staff are always willing to help and were really nice and easy gong. Traffic in and out of Bang Tao is difficult and taxi / tuc tucs charge extra for it. If your looking for 4* this was good value for money.

From the pictures we expected the hotel to be much bigger and found it more a simple 3-star. The rooms are clean, staff is friendly and helpful. The pool could be renovated but was maintained and clean. Gym is a little room with 4 machines and not many weights. Breakfast is simple but ok. It’s a 5-8 min walk to the beach and left and right of the hotel you find bars and some restaurants. Overall we had a good stay in this hotel for a couple of days.

8/10 Very good

Very good. Nice pool. Rooms good. Only problem there were noisy guest yelling late at night and swimming around 11.30pm. I assume there is a night manager and staff so why didn’t they ask them to be quiet. There should be a quiet time so people who have wake early for airport can get some sleep. No phone in room to call and I didn’t want to walk down and complain as the group (probably Russians) would fight or get aggressive.

Despite advertising a shuttle from airport on the website, hotel staff were either unable or unwilling to arrange and failed to respond to several calls/email requests. Pleasant enough staff despite that.

Good stay in Bangtao beach

Great stay at Chivatara resort with family of 4 (two young kids). Super friendly staff, loved children :) Room was spacious, ground floor stay good with young children. Restaurant was located in the middle of the hotel, under a canopy. Good breakfast, egg-station included. Hotel has 3 children's pools, but depth was 60cm, so not the most suited for babies. (Perfect for a bit older kids) Otherwise good pool area, even very deep pool in the middle. Small kids play area outside in the garden, nice kids play room inside as well (but air con was temporarily broken) with various toys. Small gym as well, with good air con. Located on a busy street with shops, restaurants and bars. Bangtao area quite busy traffic with taxis (when going in and out of the area), easy access - but not the calmest area (if that is what you are looking for). Local night market quite close by. Short walk to the beach - great beach places with many restaurants offering beach chairs and children's toys and even a swing!

Great Find

Absolutely fantastic, staff very friendly and accommodating, amazing value for money, for me definitely Bang Tao’s best kept secret.

2/10 Poor

Very dangerous to walk to the beach with kids, to many cars and bikes at the street, no sidewalks. Need people to serve at the restaurant, few costumers and the service is poor. The pool bar is closed, you need to walk 5 min to the beach .

Ok but no more than that
