Katharos Villas

Service my family received was 1st class from the moment we arrived at Katharos Villas. The facilities there are very good. The property itself is slightly outside of Oia and involves a 10 minute uphill scenic walk but this shouldn’t put anyone off - we were able to manage the walk easily with children aged 6 and 4 and on a couple of occasions Francesco very kindly gave us a lift. There are other nice touches such as the welcome basket, bottled water and fresh fruit. Overall Katharos Villas is excellent value for money and was ideal for families.

We booked to stay at Katheros after reading so many glowing reviews. What the reviews don't say is that the villas are not on the water and have views of the ocean obstructed by buildings across the road and telephone poles. We would have rather stayed in Oia or at a higher elevation as Santorini is all about the views. And for the price, at C$850 per night, my expectations were high that this would be a luxurious place, which it was not.

Our stay was perfect. The villas are tranquil, serene, relaxing - ocean view, beautiful pool, patio and rooms, well Equipped Kitchen and an amazing host - Francesco was a wonderful host and made Sure we had everything we needed. Loved the daily fruit plates brought to you while you hang out by the pool. The villas are a 15 Minute walk to the town of Oia. Our stay was perfect.

Great location. Close enough to walk into Oia but away from the crowds. Also close enough to walk to Ammoudi Bay where we enjoyed several great seafood restaurants and took a Catamaran sailboat trip. Francesco at Katharos Villas was great and looked after all of our needs.

Wonderful overall! Francesco the manager was so helpful and did everything to ensure our stay was perfect. We loved everything about this place!

5 stars isn't enough to rate this beautiful place!! Katharos Villas is the place to stay when coming to Santorini! Francesco the owner is a real gem, making you feel part of the family at all time. He is Very kind, knowledgeable and helpful, anything you need Francesco is there to assist with a smile. The Villas are very clean, comfortable bed and includes all the amenities to make your stay wonderful. Private pool is cleaned each day!! Angela will come every day to replenish your fridge for next day breakfast. She's really amazing and works very hard! Villas are very well situated close to Ammoudi Bay and the Oia village with all the nice restaurants, bars and shops. It's a beautiful place to be and can't wait to be back to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary!! Thank you Francesco and Angela for this memorable experience Valerie & Freddy

Read the great reviews and had high hopes. Our stay at Katharos Villas was nothing short of amazing and exceeded all hopes and expectations. We had some dealings with our wonderful hosts, notably Francesco, before arrival and were relieved to have timely and extremely helpful responses. After our arrival and throughout our stay, we were treated like royalty - nothing was too much trouble but everything was dealt with in a calm, sophisticated, professional way. This is a chic, classy place to stay and the hosts are a huge part of that. We were a party of 5.
