Huge disappointment.
We were fooled by the 9.2 rating into believing this was a high quality hotel. The truth is that this was a 3 start hotel which was refurbished and rebranded during Covid, but the standard of work was clearly shoddy and there are clear signs of wear and tear which has not been attended to. Key issues to be aware of: On site parking - is totally inadequate for the number of rooms. The only alternative is to pay for street parking which is not cheapor necessarily secure. Customer service - was a real disappointment. There was no water on the day of our arrival - just sand blowing out from the tap. It took 24 hours for hot water to flow. There was no communication from the hotel, no apology and no offer of compensation. A real couldn't care less attitude which permeated throughout - staff expected guests to get out of their way if not both could pass at the same time. Food - breakfast was the usual excellent Israeli offering, but the coffee machines kept on failing. No food available at the pool and none available during our stay at the lounge bar. Totally unacceptable. Pool - is fairly modest in size, inadeqaute seating around and no grounds. The views are not quite as they seem in the hotel's photo - see attached. Spa - excellent treatment. Changing room was in desprate need of repair and simple cleaning. Beach - the saving feature (although had the hotel been responsible for its upkeep it would probably have been poorly maintained!) Perhaps we were unlucky but take care!
