Great location but needs an update
The room and the bathroom were small and somewhat outdated (the last renovation was around 2000. The AC unit blew directly on the bed. Staff was nice and the breakfast was fine.

Beautiful Neighborhood Hotel
Overall, lovely hotel with an ideal location. Pros, besides location are friendly staff, quiet rooms, great ambiance if you like a historic, old building. Cons are extremely firm mattress and overall cleanliness - rugs pretty old and stained throughout the property and general sense of wear & tear. However, the pros out-balanced the cons and we’d stay again if we could get a room with a softer mattress.

This felt like a European boutique hotel. I had one of the "single" rooms - a twin bed! which I didn't know existed in the US anymore - with a well-appointed bathroom (shower only), AC that I could control, and actual windows that I could open. The towels were soft and plentiful, the bed was comfortable. The staff was personable and very helpful. The included breakfast had options including croissants, danish, bagels, hard-boiled eggs, cereals, yogurt, and oatmeal - as well as coffee, tea, and juice.
