I was apprehensive because of the reviews, but made up your own mind for what's right for you. For me it was great. ✅ Free Snacks daily ✅ Fantastic location ✅ Nice Staff ✅ Convenient for public transport ✅ Rooms ok ❎ Noisy (need to wear earphones in the room) ❎ Lift is very slow ❎ Pool area is shady (mornings are good for sun) It was perfect for what I needed. I thought the rooms were great. A little balcony outside to catch the afternoon sun shining in and comfortable bed. I loved the size of the fridge so much bigger than other places so can store cold drinks. They give out free bag of treats every day which is so great when you are walking around all day. Oven, Sink, it had everything you may need. Highly recommend it for travellers who want to be near the bustle of kalakaua avenue. Always something to do. Super noisy though from the other rooms /outside.

Nice hotel in a great location ! The beach is quiete close, in front a bakery and Paia Restaurant that you cant miss. The local bus is on the corner and you can go to Pearl Harbor for 3 US !

Location is great and price is very reasonable. While the staff were friendly, the facilities are very old. To get hot water in the shower, I needed to run the hot tap in the kitchenette and bathroom at the same time as the shower, then eventually hot water would come through. Wifi was non-existent. The cleaners would make the bed, replenish the soap etc, and replace towels, but there was no actual cleaning that took place each day. There wasn’t even a cloth or soap to clean dishes. I had to ask 3 times to have the tea/coffee to be replenished and when it was, that was the last time it was replenished, so I just didn’t ask again. Unless I moved the garbage bin into the open, it was not emptied.

Really bad!
Old outdated hotel. Paint peeling and water stains on walls of bathroom. Everything about it needs major remodeling. Parking garage entrance very steep and narrow and curves; very difficult to enter and exit. Parking rate is $45/night, way overcharging. Sick mustard color paint on walls, very dirty and stained old carpets. Recommend tearing down building and replace with a new, better designed hotel. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
