The Riad is beautiful, great staff and a good breakfast. The only trouble we had was the beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable. The staff did their best but it didn't help we barely slept both nights. Great, quiet location!

Riad is a historical place, like a palace. Breakfast is well serviced, and the location is close to main street or the blue gate, 10 mins walk. Parking car to the next door garage, 50 per night. 4 of 5 rating because of the tour guide the riad recommended, who was not a professional guide

This riad has such a lovely atmosphere. The interior was clean and well decorated, felt very homely and cozy. The staff was also very polite and attentive, and pointed us to some local attractions within walking distance of the riad. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to stay in Fes.

This Riad is Like Living in a Palace
This was a fantastic Riad, it was like staying in a palace. We stayed in Seffarine which was a family suite. The breakfast was lovely and the sweet potato jam was our favourite! The riad was about a 10 minute walk to all the shops. We would stay here again for sure.

Highly recommended
Exquisitely appointed suite (Serrafine) with traditional furniture and modern artworks. Gorgeous tilework, carved doors, carpets. A huge round copper bath you could almost swim in. The service was impeccable, gracious, 24/7. Beautiful communal courtyard where a good substantial breakfast was served. Situated on the edge of the medina in a suburban area, near a "gate" so great access to taxis, short walk to the action of the medina, quiet, safe neighbourhood.

This was a great place to stay. The courtyard is beautiful and breakfast was fresh and delicious. Hotel staff were kind and helpful. Walking distance to Medina and there is a parking ‘garage’. Don’t forget to negotiate the price though and should be cheaper for a smaller car. Tip: if you feel like you’re running out of hot water, let them know and they’ll check the propane!

Palace Al Bartel
This Riad really is like a palace. The courtyard is a tranquil retreat from the outside world. The staff are genuinely friendly and speak great english. Breakfast was made to order. Room was large, clean and comfortable. Parking available in the garage next door.

The hotel itself was impressive. The staff was helpful . I do enjoy the history. I did not Enjoy Fez.. it's historic and maybe it should go down at this point as a museum. I cannot imagine anyone living there for their lifetime. And I really feel for the cats that are allowed to reproduce and live a miserable life

This Riad in the Medina of Fes is outstanding and has a magical atmosphere with a beautiful inner courtyard and a sunny patio. The service is excellent as well as the breakfast. We can also highly recommend the dinner. The staff was always helpful and really kind - just top notch. The room was very comfortable, large and clean. It is very centrally located so all the sights are in walking distance. We also felt really safe the whole time.
I would highly recommend this riad to everyone visiting Fes and we will definitely come back one day.

Highlight of our stay in Morocco. Easy walk to Medina. Easy and very close parking in garage (50MAD) per day or free on street. The arranged an excellent guide for our first day in Fez…highly recommended because he showed us how to get around and no one bothers you when with a guide. Food in Riad was best in Morocco and they had no problem catering to my veg gf diet. Staff Hassan and Omar were wonderful and spoke perfect English and French. Beautifully decorated and peaceful. Wonderful beds and copper bath tub! We will stay here next time in Fez for sure!

This is a beautiful, exquisite riad - the plants and flowers in the courtyard along with the adorable parrot who sings sweetly was so fun. We really enjoyed our room, the entrance to which was from the main floor, and it entered into a small room with a desk and sofa, and there was a separate bathroom/shower with a separate door. To reach the bedroom, one must go up some very steep and narrow stairs. This could be hard for someone elderly or with weak knees. However there are plenty of lights and light switches that we found helfpul so we don't trip. The bed, as beautiful as it was, was the hardest bed that we experienced during our 11 days across Morocco. We tossed and turned a bit. We definitely recommend this riad to everyone, but just be prepared with the bed. Location-wise, the riad is very close to the Al-Ziyat gate (which is not a main gate, but where our taxi dropped us off). The riad is a little away (about 10 minutes walk) to get to to the center of the main action of the souk and the blue gate. One has to take care to get familiar with the zig zag route to avoid taking a wrong turn. It can be a little confusing. Overall we loved this riad and would definitely stay there again and recommend to others. We enjoyed our breakfasts and the hospitality and helpfulness of the hosts.

Upon arrival, to my surprise, the room was spit between two floors bathroon in one & bedroom 20 plus upstairs flight. They offered me a so call suite for more but end up taking it for no additional charge. The place looks like an ancient museum but outdated with no real comfort in my suite. Excellent staff & outstanding service. Modest breakfast.
