Chicago without a View.
So much to do in Chicago, I was barely at the hotel, but it was clean, comfortable, central, and had a great Buffett breakfast (“free”). The room I was in had a TERRIBLE close up view of a brick building (that had no widows, so I guess it could have been worse!). It would have been nice to have a nice view—considering it’s downtown Chi-town. But I basically slept there only, so I can’t complain... I even had lunch there on the day I checked out. A very pleasant stay...I’d do it again, but I’d get a room with a view.

Would stay again!
Overall a great stay! Nice breakfast buffet and staff was very friendly. Only complaints were our room did not have a blanket for the sofa bed and it took quite awhile to get it. Also, we were supposed to have a city view and we were looking at a brick wall. We had very little natural light in the room.

Disappointing Customer Service
We booked this hotel for a night in the city with some friends. After reading the reviews, we decided to pay the up charge for a room with a view, which was beautiful. However, the rooms have blackout blinds that you have to use a chain to close. When trying to close them, the blinds came out of the track and fell completely off the window. We called the front desk, and there was no one who could fix them, so they had us switch rooms. We were moved to a room with a tiny window on the 3rd floor. It seemed loud and we discovered the window wouldn’t close all the way! At this point, it was almost 2am and we just wanted to sleep. There was no clock in the room, and there was hair in the bathroom sink and tub. Overall, the room appeared dingy and dirty like it had not been used or cleaned in a long time. When we checked out in the morning, I mentioned a couple of these items to the lady at the front desk, who didn’t seem to care at all. I’m not one to complain but at least thought we should get some sort of refund for the difference in room rates as we didn’t get to stay in the room we paid an up charge to be in. She said she couldn’t help me, so I asked if there was someone that could. She told me I would have to call another time if I wanted to speak to someone else and that she needed to finish the process as she was very busy, even though there was no one else in the lobby. I called later that day to be told I could leave my information but no one called me back. Bad service.
