Great spa facilities, lovely and clean staff down there also friendly, approachable and made you feel welcome. Our room was newly decorated and clean Downside, no aircon extremely hot and couldn't open the window to let air in and the curtain pole stopped it. Bug bare...HIDDEN COSTS...not made aware at time of booking, there is a charge to use the pool ect an additional 17.50 pp ..not made aware of this on booking as it looks as though it all in on price paid,we had booked a massage too which comes with full use of spa but they tried to add on again the price to use it, its a continental breakfast included in price add on another 12.50 pp for a cooked one which is lovely so worth it, also extra add ons on the meals too i had the steak as didnt like any of the other 4 choices was am extra £10.75 Overall a nice time, was no atmosphere and some staff where definitely there just to job , no chit chat, just yes no there is your change , which is fair enough. We wouldn't return to stay, would definitely book for a day at the spa again

Nice spa pitty about the room and breakfast
Staff were really friendly and couldn’t do enough, the decor isn’t the room was dated and the cooked breakfast was below satisfactory to say the least, the continental breakfast went above and beyond so i do not be,Eve an additional charge of 12.50 for cooked breakfast was either value for money or in the slightest worth it especially when we paid £414 for a two night stay, we also had to pay an extra charge for the use of the spa facilities which I think should be included in the price of the stay, saying that the hot tub, swimming pool, sauna and steam room where great. Also the UHT milk was mouldy and I didn’t actually think that could go off.

We really enjoyed our stay. We have been coming for years and have never been disappointed. What a location. The bar area is a good size and very relaxing. The staff are all very pleasant and so helpful.

Not as good as it used to be. Unfortunately.
We’ve stayed here twice before and use of the pool facilities was always included within the price. You now have to pay an additional £17.50 per person. This is in the small print but saying as I’d been twice before I didn’t read it and wasn’t informed about it at check in. Black mould in the bathroom. When this appears it isn’t hard to remove or stay on top of. It’s just a spray of black mould remover.

Lovely getaway destination
Really lovely views and facilities for relaxation. Fantastic food, even at the bar and very good breakfast selection. Staff were friendly and welcoming and room was spacious with lovely bathroom. Only downside was a lot of flies around but other than that we really loved our stay here.

Great stay minus the flies!
Overall experience at the hotel was great! The staff are so friendly and extremely accommodating. The food was beautiful-albeit a small menu. The spa treatments were well worth the price and the view on the rooftop hot tub was stunning. The room itself was very spacious and open with a lovely view of the lake and a small outside patio. The only downside to all of this is the constant stream of flies both inside the room, restaurant and spa. Unfortunately that lead to an uncomfortable night sleep, constant swatting during meals at the restaurant and ruined the atmosphere when a fly landed on me during my massage in the spa! Had there of been no flies during our stay this place would’ve been the perfect get away location. In future we will definitely be bringing insect repellent and medication for the bug bites.
